Application:

The evaporative circulating pump of Model-FJX S series is an axial pump with large capacity and low delivery head, which is specially used for the forced circulation of evaporators of industries such as triammonium n phosphate,phosphoric acid, salt mak-ing g of vacuum method, aluminum oxide, caustic soda, and light industries, as well 18as the circulating pump of crystallizers and reactors.

2.Description of structure


The circulating pump of Model-FJX series has cant-ilever structure and is installed horizontally and the product of some sizes has absorbed the advantages of foreign products, so it is featured with the following properties:

(1) Slow speed : catering to the crystallization pr-ocess and offering stable operation.

(2) Excellent hydraulic performance, 70% min.Ef-ficiency, broad high efficient area, good resistance to cavitation.

(3) Advanced shaft sealing : the shaft seal working condition is improved by quick installing double end mechanical sealing with labyrinth type inner insulating chamber and the service life is lengthened.

(4) Easy adjustment of pump parameters: the in-stallation angle of the blade is adjustable 9and the turning speed is easily changed by the belt.

(5) High reliability : a flow deflecting compartment is provided at the cantilever end and the disturbance of the shaft is reduced.

(6) Water cooling bearing seat: there are water cooling jackets at both bearings , the the bearings are lubricated with dilute oil, and D class heavy duty bearings are used, so the service life is long.

Special type

(1) Suspending type pump : the circulating pump is suspended under the circulation pipe of the evaporator and will expand with the heating of the evaporator,so the expensive large diameter corrugated expansion joint of the evaporator can be cancelled and ground area is also reduced.

(2) Spring type pump seat: an adjustable spring box can be placed under the pump seat and the corrugated expansion joint of the evaporator can be cancelled.

(3) Internal located circulating pump: there is no pump body and it is especially S suitable for r inner circulation evaporator or crystallizer.

4.Installation


  • Before installation, you shall check the dim-ension of the foundation,location, surface status and if the height mark is conformed to the design requirement, otherwise it shall be repaired. The surface of the foundation should be pitted and wetted.

  • Clear out the residue water and dusts in the reserved holes for the eground bolts.insert the ground bolts into the holes of the base, put in the gasket , tighten the n nuts preliminary, put the pump assembly onto the foundation, insert steel pads of different thickness between the base and the foundation to level the pump. There should be certain space left between the base 2and foundation for cementing. Check the pump at the axial direction of the horizontal flange face, the direction vertical to the axis, and the vertical flange e face with level gauge.The maximum deviation shall be 0.1 mm/m.

  • Fill the holes for the ground bolts with high grade concrete , after the econcrete is so lidified ( at least 48 hours), tighten the nuts on the ground bolts, again check the levelness and verticality,and adjust it if not satisfactory.

  • According to the installation (drawing of the circulating pump, fill the base with concrete until the whole space of the base is filled up to the surface level of fthe channel steel base, and the surrounding of the channel steel shall also be filled with concrete, so that the whole steel base is buried in the second concrete layer.

  • Install the motor slide rail and the motor. The paralle lism deviation between 1the axes of the motor and pump shall be 0.5mm/m. Switch on the power and check if the turning direction of the motor conforms to the installation drawing of the pump. Install the belt wheel and fix it firmly. If coupled type transmission is used, the straig-htness of both couplings shall be checked.

  • The i inner circumference of ftriangular belt shalll be carefully selected. The difference of inner circumferences between the t triangular belts used on a single pump should be less than 0.2%. Upon checking with steel ruler, the outer surfaces of the big and small belt wheels should be on the same plane, and the axial offset should be less than 0.5mm

  • According to the installation drawing of the pump, connect the auxiliary pipelines ((the inner flushing pipe of the shaft seal box, the feeding and discharging pipes of the condensed water,the discharging pipe of leakage of the shaft seal,the feeding and discharging pipes of cooling water of the b bearing seat), and install matched pressure meter, flow meter and stop valve.

  • Except that suspended type and spring seat type pumps are used, there should be a corrugated expansion joint mounted on the circulation pipe of the evaporator which is connected to the feed-ing or discharging ports of the pump. The expansion amount shall be calculated according to the height between the bottom level of the main support seat of the evaporator chamber and the connecting flange of the pump, the heat expansion coefficient of the material of the circulating pump, and the difference between the maximum working temperature of the evaporator and the design temperature of the pump. The diameter, nominal pressure, and number of corrugations of the expansion joint should be chosen according to the JB1121-83"Corrugated expansion joint" standard. The heat expansion force on the inlet and outlet port flange of the pump at the time of running could be looked up in the table.


5 Operation


  • The oil storage cell of the bearing should be clean and I neat. According to the method in clause 2 of t this manual, add lubricating oil into the oil tank.


  • Open the valves on the connected pipes of the inlet and outlet of flush liquid of shaft seal box and sealing liquid (condensed water)as well as cooling water of bearing seat, and 8adjust the pressure and capacity of the pipes to meet the following requirements:

      (1). The pressure of the flush liquid (thin halogen water) in the mechanical seal should be 0.03-0.05MPa higher than the system pressure.

      (2). The inlet pressure of cooling water of the bear-ing seat is 0.2MPa.


  • Before starting up, the belt wheel or shafting coupling should run smoothly.

  • Only after the feed water (or working medium)in the evaporator reaches the normal level in the evaporation chamber, the circulating pump can be started. It is prohibited to start up when in a low liquid level to protect from breakdown for overcharges.



6. Maintenance


  • Mechanical sealing

      (1). For every two hours, the level and flow of the flush and sealing liquid in the mechanical seal should be checked and adjusted.

      (2). For every shift, check if there is working medium in the exit of sealing liquid. Otherwise the pressure of interior flush and S sealing liquid should be adjusted.

      (3). When the leakage in the shaft seal surpassing the standard level, or more consumption 1of sealing liquid occurs, the seal parts should be repaired, if it can be confirmed to be the breakdown. The worn-out seal surface of movable and static rings should be p polished t three times or be replaced. The O-shape ring must be replaced at each time of repairing.

  • Lubricating and cooling of the bearing

      (1). The choice of lubricating oil. At the range of working temperature, the kinematic viscosity of lubricating oil must be not less than 12mm2/s in order to keep it in good lubrication condition.

      (2).Oiling method: first pour lubricating oil from oil hole in the top of bearing box to make sub-tube of the constant oil cup full of oil or reach the mark line of the indicator.

      (3). Period of oiling: after the first use of the pump or repair of bearing, the oil should be drained out for every 10 days of running. After cleaning the oil tank, pour the new lubricating oil. The normal period of oiling is determined by the working temperature of oil in the oil tank; If the temperature is 40-65℃, the period is one year. If the temperature is more than 65-75℃, the period is half a year.


  • Performance of the pump

      (1). The actual capacity of evaporating circulation is jointly determined by the characteristic of the delivery capacity of the pump and the resistance drop of the circulation loop in the evaporator. When required to change the flow of the pump, can be realized by changing the rotation speed by changing the belt wheel. The performance of the pump after changing the rotation speed can be calculated by the following formula. It must be noted that shaft power shall not surpass the rating power of the motor when increasing speed. Or the power of the motor shall be increased.

      (2). For the tangential-feed-external-heating evaporator, to protect the pump from the damage of vortex flow in the evaporation chamber, a cross shape vortex-extinguishing baffle plate should be installed under the conical shell of the evaporator.

      (3). When the evaporator is stopping, first stop the circulating pump, then discharge materials In the evaporator, and finally stop interior flush and sealing liquid in the mechanical seal.
